Between February 28 and March 4 occurred in Valparaiso, Chile, the Third Meeting of Youth Sub-Regions of Brazil and the Southern Cone, and the participation of young people of YMCAs of Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo once again showed the strength of the movement within the Brazilian acemista Latin American and Caribbean Alliance of YMCAs. The Brazilian representatives were leaders in every sense. Among the regular activities of the meeting or even on daily inside the camp the youngsters showed all the strength, commitment, joy and ability of the participants of the Brazilian movement.
The meeting was attended by over 40 youth movements of the sub-regions of the Southern Cone, Chile and Uruguay, and Brazil over the young guests of the movements in Argentina, Peru and the United States. These young people from different cultures so they could learn more about the functioning of other YMCAs and to discuss and make plans for youth leadership in the Latin American Alliance of YMCAs and Caribbean and within the World Alliance.
The work performed at the event were very important for the young Brazilian re-take the lead in the activities of the Alliance, and that there is an alternation in Brazilian leadership, as many young people were references in this type of work are having responsibilities within the national movement and need to divide their time and responsibilities with new young.
Our representatives behaved very cheerful and sociable throughout the stay and fellowship within the ACMs Santiago and Valparaiso, which stayed in a very welcoming and warm, giving all possible support to your trip was more enjoyable. They were involved in all the activities proposed by the organization, attending meetings and debates decisive encounter, often taking responsibilities and promoting improvements in the organization of the event.
