The Brazilian Federation of YMCAs and UNICEF - United Nations Children's Found just signed a cooperation agreement that will involve all the YMCAs of Brazil.
The national agreement is part of the global partnership established between the two organizations whose focus is the defense of infancy.
Joint actions in the country will be developed between local YMCAs and state representations of UNICEF in several areas over three years as provided in the agreement.
The signing ceremony took place during the General Assembly of the Federation, in São Paulo and was attended by Dr. Vicente Cenise, UNICEF representative in São Paulo.
During his speech, Dr. Cenise has highlighted the importance of protecting children's rights in order to promote the development of the country.
