In October of that year, more precisely between 14 and 21 will be held the Week of Action on Trade, which will be attended churches, civic groups outside the world and of course, with the movement acemista. In 2005, churches have come together for a Global Week of Action for justice in the food trade.
On that occasion, the movement more than 10 million people, scattered throughout the world. It was the first big event with a global reach in the fight against poverty. Now in 2007, we will continue this fight for the largest food distribution.
There are several reasons for the choice of the period to be held the Week of Action on Trade, after all, is a week that includes key events, such as: 15-16 October are days of "Stand Against Poverty" organized by Global Call to Action Against Poverty, 16 October is World Food Day, 17 October is the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
Initially groups of people evaluate trade and its consequences in the regions in which they live. But if the result is favorable only to farmers and holders of "power", will be a global action together to prevent injustice and maldistribution.
A guide explaining that global action is available free of charge in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, for anyone wishing to learn more about the Week of Action on Trade. The guide explores the links between trade, agriculture, food and human rights, including stories, share ideas, reflections of the Bible and types of campaigns already conducted.
