The creation of futsal, the YMCA of Montevideo in 1930, spurred in 2010, the YMCA Sports Centre, organize a Futsal World Cup, in allusion to the passage of 80 years this sport spread throughout the world and proud of all paras acemistas.
The success of the first event was so great that, in 2011, the institution will promote the Second ACM Futsal Cup, this time in reference to the 110 years of the YMCA in Rio Grande do Sul
"Our proposal will work under the same focus formation last year, transmitting and enhancing educational and moral values through sports. However, this year will also elucidated the 110th anniversary of the ACM-RS "says Renan Rodrigues, Department of Physical Education and Sports of the YMCA Sports Centre, one of the organizers of the event.
The rounds will take place throughout the year 2011, with games between all participants. In each round, students from participating schools perform exchanges medals, getting a souvenir opposing school. Schools invited this edition are:
ACM, Ipanema Marist College, Marist College Assumption College St. Cecilia School Good Counsel School Athlete Futsal (College Pastor Dohms), Holy Family College and the College of San Pedro Province. There is also the possibility of entering new participating schools, which will be confirmed later.
The championship will be decided by points accrued in single rounds without scoring by categories, ie, the sum of points from all categories will result in each round score at the end of the club and there will be games Cup final. The categories will be participating children (96 and 97), Bantam (98 and 99), pre-Bantam (00 and 01), flank (2:03) and bottle (4:05), in males and females. The category infanto not accumulate point for associations. In case of conflict, will be realized if the associations involved in the round have such a category.
On March 12 is marked Technical Congress of the competition and on April 16 there will be the opening event, which will be present coach and former Brazilian footballer Dunga, who would take the oath of the athletes and the opening competition. The remaining dates of the rounds among the participants, will be decided during the Technical Meeting.
