The activity of educational camps has existed for about 66 years in Brazil and over 110 years abroad.

This means that generations of campers have had the experience of traveling without the family, with a group of children and young people of the same age and enjoying leisure activities and community life in a very particular way, in a kind of experience that probably only is possible in a camp environment

To celebrate this activity for decades is part of the education of children and youth in Brazil, at a general meeting of the ABAE - Brazilian Association of Educational camps, it was decided that every year on the last Friday of the month of May is celebrated "National Education day Camp. "In 2012 the date is to be celebrated May 25, Friday.

The date refers to the onset of activity and the first meeting of parents and founders of educational camps, which in the decades of 40 and 50 gathered in this period to schedule the July holidays of their children.

As a way to promote and celebrate the "National Day Camp Education", we invite all people to put the shirt on your "Heart Camp" that day. We believe that with this simple action and popular event many people will realize how significant and important the activity Educational Camp in Brazil and so, increasingly, parents of children and youth camps identify an excellent choice of activity to provide its children safe holiday, educational and extremely fun.
