In order to demonstrate the relevance of ACM to the world and also as part of its action plan, the World Alliance of YMCAs launched a challenge to the whole world movement: Gather more than five million people for a day of activities genuine acemistas demonstrating ways of empowering youth.
This, with the common element of the throw basketballs for all participants (due to the strong historical link of ACM in the creation of this sport in Massachusetts / USA, 1891 by James Naismit), a clear message of unity and strong impact global.
The Global Challenge of ACM / YMCA will be held on October 13 (Saturday) and its objectives are:
- Celebrating the impact of daily activities in transforming lives and function of the YMCA / YMCA in empowerment / development of people;
- The movement acemista learn to best use your collective potential;
- Aumeto recognition and visibility of ACM / YMCA worldwide;
Each YMCA / YMCA participant logs the information of each local event to help in the communication process and send a short report containing the number of participants involved in the initiative and three photos of the event through a website specially created for this purpose
