From 1st to August 8, the Unit received 21 baners about Project ViDHas Carris. The exhibition, open to the public, offered viewers the opportunity to reflect on the historical process of the black community and their life stories.
On August 3, the professional Carris Memorial João Cândido grandson, great-nephew of Admiral Black João Cândido, sailor leader of the Revolt of the Whip, 1910, gave a lecture to the students, in which he spoke about the history of struggles and achievements blacks for Human Rights. It was like traveling back in time and rescue the true meaning of black participation in the history of Porto Alegre, encouraging respect and acceptance of social differences.
